Efforts to find two aircraft manufacturers have been slowed by time

The Joint Rescue Coordination Center in Trenton, which has been searching for a plane and its two passengers who have been missing since last Thursday, has seen its search activities temporarily slow down due to bad weather conditions.

Rescue services are searching for a Piper Comanche model plane, which was reported missing north of Sault Ste. Marie, in the Wawa area, while flying to the town of Marathon, in northwestern Ontario.

The plane’s pilot Brian Slingerland and his friend John Fehr were on their way to Alberta and were scheduled to stop in Wawa on Thursday night.

But rescuers ’efforts slowed on the 5th day of research due to bad weather conditions.

According to Trevor Reid, spokesman for the Trenton Joint Rescue Coordination Center (JRCC), part of the search was also delayed due to aircraft icing overnight.

Reid said only the Hercules-type carrier plane can participate in the search effort so far.

The JRCC is appealing to the public, asking people to let them know if they have seen it a plane flying along Highway 17 between Wawa and Sault Ste. Marie around 6:00 pm on April 14th.

Mr. said. Reid that approximately 85 people from various walks of life were involved in the search for the missing plane and its passengers.
