This is tough. There isn’t a day that I don’t think of him. There are always little things that will make him think more. You know, Mother’s Day, last year, she spent it with us. Then there, this year, he’s not heresaid Madison’s aunt, Linda Boudreau.

A year after the disappearance, he met us at his nephew’s school bus stop, located on a vacant lot. Here he was walking on May 11, 2021, when he was last seen.

The teenager’s relatives – who will now be 15 – printed a photo of him and pinned it to a tree. At the foot of this tree, on the lawn yellowed by winter, was a white angel trinket. Plastic flowers are on the ground, here and there.

With the arrival of spring, the remaining memorial items, removed so that they would not be damaged by the snow, will soon be placed again.

We also know that he will never forget the world. As long as there is, everyone will thinkexplained Linda Boudreau.

An impossible mourning

There are so many painful reminders that Madison Roy-Boudreau was not found. And that we don’t yet know what exactly happened to him, other than he was the victim of homicide.

We just want to find him. We must know how to grieve. We have no answers about what is going onexplained Linda Boudreau.

We just need to grieve. We need to know what happened and we need to take him to his final resting place.

A quote from Linda Boudreau, aunt

Beside her, her great friend Maggie Lavigne tries to entertain her as best she can. He rubbed its back, whispering a few words full of empathy. In recent months, it has been by his side to support him, to help him through this trial.

I take it one day at a time. I stayed strong for the family, to help them do things. Because I know it’s hard for them to plan a commemoration or talk to the media. Not easy for them. Me, I don’t carehe says.

This close family member also wanted the outcome of this story. The hope of finding Madison alive was lost, replaced by the search for her remains.

At this point, I hope that RCMP will find his body. This will allow the family to grieve and take him to his final resting place. Because until Madison was brought home to her family, she was restless. Not until she’s with her family and they can do a ceremony.

Maggie Lavigne also thanks the community for all the support she has given the family over the past few months. He recalls that a reward of $ 8,150 was offered to anyone who submits information that allows Madison to be found.

But he urges people not to try to contact family members to share this information.

They have gone through enough this year. Many people did this in the past, only asking them to respect the family and contact the authorities.he says.

I miss him

A year after the disappearance, Kayleb Hachey still hasn’t forgotten her friend Madison. This 15-year-old teenager had seen him regularly before the tragedy.

We do business, laugh, make TikTok. Then go like to McDonald’s or Tim Horton to get some ice capsand do all that then take stepshe says.

Madison showed her how to make stylish dances on the digital platform TikTok. He keeps precious memories of the playful videos they shot together.

He is always on my mind and I miss him so much. I want that day to come back and that will be a surprisehe explained sadly.

His mother Annie Hachey was also shaken by this tragedy. On the first anniversary of her disappearance, she was thinking of something for Madison’s family.

We want to have any answer, for friends, for parents, for those around us, for everyone who has it in their hearts; we want to know what happened to him. I think as people close to him, I think we have a right to knowhe says.

According to her, knowing what happened to Madison Roy-Boudreau and finding her remains will allow her relatives to take her to her final resting place and mourn them.

Annie Hachey affirms that it is especially important not to forget Madison, and this, even if time is fast. It should not be relegated to oblivion. A year has passed and we are still thinking a lot about him.

Her daughter Kayleb agreed. He is always in our hearts and we will never forget him.he said.
