TV says three more women accused parliament member Gabriel Monteiro of rape

Three more women today said they were raped by Rio councilor Gabriel Monteiro (non-party), a supporter of President Jair Bolsonaro (PL). All of them asked not to be identified. The new allegations were shown on TV Globo’s show “Fantástico”. Monteiro denies the allegations. (See below)

Last week, Gabriel Monteiro was accused of committing moral, sexual and physical attacks against women and servants. The influencer, who has 4.6 million followers on Instagram alone, is also suspected of manipulating and imitating videos from his social networks. The Ethics Committee of the Rio de Janeiro Chamber will decide next week whether to bring administrative proceedings against him.

One of them said, “I asked him to stop because he was bleeding. He wouldn’t stop. When it was all over, he asked if he was okay.” The alleged second victim said, “I said, ‘You just forced a relationship with me.’ You didn’t use a condom. You were aggressive.” The third woman said, “I am aware that I was raped today. This is the first time I am speaking openly about it.”

The situation is similar in all three cases: sex was initially consensual, but always resulted in aggression and violence.

During the interview, one of the girls said she met the councillor through a dating app. The two got together and maintained consensual relationships, but once ignored her request to wear a condom.

In an interview with the press last week shortly after his first charges of moral and sexual harassment, Monteiro claimed he was the victim of a conspiracy by “those who wanted to destroy me.”

“When will the press say I’m going to unmask a bribe towing company?” she asked. He also stated that he helped the boy, the protagonist of one of the allegedly manipulated videos. However, this video has already been removed from social networks on Monday, 28 by the councilor’s own team.

Complaints of sexual and moral harassment

Last week, “Fantástico” had heard of another victim having sex with a councillor. According to the woman, whose identity has not been released, the beginning of the relationship was consensual, but the act turned into rape because she said she didn’t stop when asked.

“There was a moment when he was using it hard. He grabbed me and went with everything. He didn’t leave me a way out. I asked him to stop, he didn’t respect me the moment I asked him to stop.” He reported that the councilman laughed, said it was a joke, and asked him not to be upset.

When asked if she had been abused, she replied to the reporter: “I was abused too much. It hurt me.”

In addition to him, the report also heard of servers in or crowded in Monteiro’s office in the Apartment and all reported cases of sexual and moral harassment.

Luiza Batista, a former production assistant, said she needed psychiatric help after working for the councilor for seven months. In addition to sexual harassment, she reported there was “psychological pressure, nicknames, and humiliation” in her work environment.
