Fire at a car dealership in Tracadie

A fire is occurring in a residential building of a car dealership on Main Street in Tracadie.

Several witnesses saw a large column of smoke from 6:30 a.m. Monday morning, visible from afar.

I was on my way to work when a fire truck passed me earlier and I saw a column of smoke in the distance. Arriving at the place, I noticed a fire in the GMC Tonersaid Jimmy Thibodeau, who thought the fire seemed more important in the back of the building.

Tracadie Mayor Denis Losier visited the fire scene Monday. Around 8 am, the fire was still going on, he could see.

As far as I can see, it was a massive fire and the damage was probably huge as well.

A quote from Denis Losier, Mayor of Tracadie

Ang Royal Canadian Mounted Police redirected traffic in the middle of rush hour to allow firefighters work. Main Street is closed to traffic between Du Moulin Street and Route 11.

Denis Losier points out that the company owns a lot of tires and flammable products, which can complicate the work of firefighters.

Building on fire.

In the color of the fire, we can see that there is a question about oil, tires and those things. For the safety of the people, we want to avoid traffic in this area.said the mayor in an interview on the show The morning.

The dealership sells GMC, Chevrolet and Buick brand vehicles and employs approximately 30 people.
