Windsor police are investigating a shooting in a bowling alley on Saturday morning that injured several people.

According to the police statement, 5 men were shot and sustained injuries, but their lives were not in danger.

Police were called to intervene around 1 a.m. after receiving a report of a fight in a bowling alley on Tecumseh Road East. While officers were on the road, they fired guns. Investigators estimate that between 20 and 25 people were in the area when the shooting broke out.

The 5 injured were all taken to the hospital.

Investigators believe this was a targeted event, and it was the fight that took place earlier that escalated. However, even one person to shoot was a passerby leaving the bowling alley at the time and not involved in the dispute.
