Mega security operation for the Superclásico: record number of soldiers inside the River bar

With the Super classic between River AND Mouth around the corner, the Ministry of Citizen Security defined the megaoperation which will take place this Sunday at Monumental, for the match starting at 5pm.

However, this time it will be about the largest operation ever carried out for a Superclásico in recent years: there will be some 1,500 municipal police officers distributed to welcome the 84,000 fans authorized to enter the stadium starting from 1pm, when the doors will open.

There will be a total of 300 more police officers than initially estimated. The main reason for the extended operation is a new internal among the factions of Los Borrachos del Tablónwhich worry the Security Committee in case a new fight breaks out in the minutes before the Superclásico.

In this context, it is estimated that 200 soldiers will be present outside the third containment ringespecially along the streets of Figueroa Alcorta and Pampa, the area where the Millonaria brava group usually meets before entering the Monumental.

The last confrontation of the Millonario group took place last Sunday, before the match against Banfield, in what was an internal brawl that would have generated a new break in the bar, and therefore, caused the emergence of a third faction.

Likewise, the clashes within Los Borrachos del Tablón are not recent history. They started dating at the end of January, when a fight outside the Monumental involved 30 prisoners and the seizure of knives, sticks and stones.

This is how the Security Committee rejected the idea of ​​preparing an operation with 1,200 police officers and preferred to increase the number to 1,500, to reduce the chances of a problem occurring.
