The local press recorded a video of him walking out of detention while protesters were at the door. He didn’t stop to talk to anyone and quickly got into a car that was already waiting for him.

The Brazilian is on provisional release while his lawyers file appeals against his conviction for raping a woman in a nightclub. He was sentenced to more than 4 years in detention, but the Spanish court authorized bail.

Daniel Alves was detained for 14 months, and was arrested in January 2023 and awaited trial in the penitentiary. Now, he has had to hand over his passports to the courts to prevent him from leaving the country and must also appear before the judges every Friday to comply with the provisional release order.

For now, it has not been revealed who paid his bail. Despite being a millionaire, the player has his assets blocked. According to the international press, his defense had resorted to a loan from a bank.
