Misfortune of a former Boca player: he interfered in his son’s baby game to argue with the referee

Many times the behavior of parents who attend youth soccer tournaments to observe their children leaves much to be desired. And that’s what happened these days. But the most serious thing is that the protagonist was a professional footballer, one of those who become a beacon to follow for kids who dream of reaching first class. Even if his attitude was deplorable.

The images are eloquent. Black t-shirt, worn denim shorts and white sneakers. One of the parents who had intervened to encourage their son in the category training invades the playing field and tries to attack the referee. A group of people tried to intercede and pushed them out, in a supposed display of manliness.

This is Hernán Grana, a historic defender of Argentine football, still active, who began his career in Platense, played for Lanús and arrived at Boca with the help of Carlos Bianchi.

This Sunday, when these images started to go viral, Hernán Grana, 38 years old, was attending the match between All Boys and Quilmes for the Primera Nacional.

Yes, as happened when he made that memorable transfer to Boca (without pain or glory), Hernán Grana became a trend again. But not for sports reporting, but because it generated a moment of tension in the very place where kids should be having fun. And among those children were his son and his companions. Regrettable.
