Canadian Brooke Henderson was crowned ShopRite Classic champion on Sunday.
Henderson eagle on the first hole of overtime to beat American Lindsey Weaver-Wright for her 11th LPGA Tour title.
The 24-year-old Ontario is the winning Canadian golfer in history. He won a prize pool of approximately 336,000 Canadian dollars.
Henderson went 64 (-7) in the third and final round of the tournament. She started the final round four strokes behind the leader, Frida Kinhult.
Weaver-Wright birdyed 17th and 18th pennants to force overtime. Both players finished with a cumulative -12.
Henderson, who hasn’t won since the Los Angeles Open in 2021, led with a birdie on the 12th hole. He remained alone there until the 17th pennant.
Englishman Jodi Eward Shadoff finished her contest by an eagle and finished alone in third place. The 34-year-old, who has yet to get success on the tour, found himself a stroke behind the leaders.
The 4th player in the world, New Zealander Lydia Ko, took 4th position tied with Swiss Albane Valenzuela. They issued 67 cards.
