FIFA has made a new cut in the windows scheduled for the sale of tickets for the Qatar World Cup 2022 which will start in November. And from the football body they said that less than 100 days before the start of the tournament they had already been sold 2.45 million tickets.
The countries from which the most tickets were purchased are United States, England, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, France, Argentina, Brazil and Germany.
In this last period of sale which extended from July 5 to August 16, 520,532 tickets were sold.
According to FIFA, the most tickets awarded during this period were for group stage matches such as Cameroon vs. Brazil; Brazil vs. Serbian; Portugal vs. Uruguay; Costa Rica vs. Germany and Australia vs. Denmark.

From FIFA they continue with the logistical recommendations regarding travel and accommodation to continue with the purchase of tickets.
In addition to tickets, the process is completed by requesting the “Hayya fan” identity card on the qatar2022.qa portal or by downloading the “Hayya to Qatar 2022” app (available for iOS and Android). With this credential, fans will be able to enter Qatar and use public transport for free on match days.
In September the last cut will be given to ticket sales, last minute calls, which will last until the end of the tournament. These tickets will be assigned according to the order of arrival and can also be purchased at the Doha ticket offices.
The Lusail Stadium obtains the sustainability rating
The Lusail Stadium, with a capacity of 80,000 people and which will host the 2022 World Cup final on December 18, has been awarded five stars in the Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS), administered by the Gulf Organization for Research and Development (Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS) GORD), according to a press release from the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar.
The venue has a number of sustainability features, “such as a state-of-the-art roof and low water consumption systems. The design of the stadium is inspired by the play of light and shadow, based on the ‘fanar’ lantern, which illustrates the age of ‘art and crafts in the Arab and Islamic world “, reads the note.

Eight stadiums will host matches during Qatar 2022, which runs from November 20 to December 18, and all locations have achieved a minimum GSAS rating of four starsadopted as a sustainability rating system since FIFA and that it will ensure that all tournament-related infrastructure complies with rigorous environmental standards.

In addition to hosting the final, the Lusail Stadium will host ten matches during Qatar 2022, starting with Argentina and Saudi Arabia’s debut on November 22, ending with the final on December 18, which is also Qatar’s National Day.
After Qatar 2022, the Lusail Stadium will host a number of civic facilities for the local community, while seats removed from the venue can be donated to countries without sports infrastructure.
