Studio CD Projekt Red (CDPR) announced on Friday that the remastered version of the hit track The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be launched between October 1 and December 31, 2022.

The announcement was made via the Twitter account of the video game series on the occasion of the seventh anniversary of the title released in 2015.

The first plan was to release this version, which would be compatible with the PlayStation 5 (PS5) and Xbox Series S and X, between April and June, but the studio had to announce the postponement of the date to April 13.

This reprieve will allow CDPR to complete development without the help of Saber Interactive, an American studio that collaborates in the game update process.

Owners of a version of the game from an older console generation do not have to pay additional fees to get this new version of the game.

Based on The Witcher book saga, all three games in the series follow the adventures of Geralt of Rivia as he tries to exterminate monsters and supernatural creatures. A TV adaptation was also launched in 2019 on Netflix starring Henry Cavill in the titular role.
