Argentine President Alberto Fernández announced this Saturday (17) that he will stop traveling to Qatar and will see the World Cup final between France “at home” with the ‘albiceleste’ selection.
“Like millions of citizens, I will enjoy the World Cup Final at my home,” Argentina’s president said on Twitter.
“I will live this wonderful moment with my people as I have ever experienced it. It will be the best of our team on the field and a glorious crowd in the stands. Also, superstition is superstition,” wrote Fernández. He is a fanatical supporter of Argentinos Juniors, the team that spawned Diego Maradona.
Meanwhile, his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, will travel to Qatar to watch the World Cup final, as officially announced.
Macron will visit Doha for the second time in three days on Sunday, after qualifying for the semi-finals between France and Morocco on Wednesday.
