By the time the body of the 18-year-old girl fell into the well of the Nueva Castilla motel where she was found on Thursday the 21st night, Debanhi was no longer alive, the State Prosecutor’s Office revealed yesterday.

Although the hypothesis that Debanhi had accidentally fallen into the well was initially handled, the State Prosecutor, Gustavo Adolfo Guerrero, admitted in an interview that it was not possible to establish this fact.

“It can’t be said to be an accident, there are many lines of investigation that need to be exhausted. When he reaches the water, he is lifeless,” he added. “If he falls alive, he will continue to breathe and suffocate.” Mexican media reports.

And he gave more details of his hypothesis: “If so, they may have attacked and beaten him there (in the well)”.

The Prosecutor’s Office intended its inquiries to clarify how Debanhi got into the motel vessel, as it was inside the property, which was fenced.

The man also said he no longer trusted the prosecutor who specializes in missing persons in the state Rodolfo Salinas, because he asked him to leave the place where they ask every day to give him more information and soon after he would call her to tell. to him who had found a corpse there.

Due to this fact, on the 22nd of Friday the women marched in different parts of the country and called for another mobilization on Sunday, to demand answers from the authorities about the Debanhi case.

In Mexico, more than 10 women are killed every day and by 2021 there will be more than 1,000 femicides, gender-based crimes.

So far this year, the state of Nuevo León has registered a wave of disappearances with at least 30 women still unidentified.
