Chinese hacker ‘Xiaoqiying’, who attacked 12 domestic academic and research institutes during the Lunar New Year holiday, recently attacked 5 more domestic servers.
According to the industry on the 15th, Xiao Qi-ying announced the hacking by posting a total of 5 Internet addresses (URLs) on the Telegram channel around 10:44 pm on the 14th. The specific timing of the hacking and the name of the victim company were not disclosed, but the fact of recruiting a new member was emphasized.
As of this day, 2 out of 5 servers are under the so-called ‘D-Face Attack’, which modifies the web page screen. The other 3 are inaccessible.
The Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) notified five of the damaged servers of the hacking and is conducting a separate investigation.
A KISA official said, “We recognized the attack (by hackers) and contacted five places,” and “we are checking the exact hacking route.”
‘Xiao Qi-ying’ hacked the website of the Korea Construction Policy Institute on the 22nd of last month, and on the 24th and 25th, △Korean Language Society △Korean Archaeological Society △Korean Parents Association △Korea National University of Education Institute for Early Childhood Education △Korean Society of Health Basic Medicine △Korean Social Studies Class It made its name known by attacking the official websites of a total of 11 academic and research institutes, including the Korean Society of East-West Psychiatry, the Korean Society of Cleft Lip and Palate, the Korean Association for Blind Education and Rehabilitation, the Jeju National University Education Science Research Institute, and the Korean Academy of Educational Principles.
