South Korea-Japan March-Korea-U.S. April Relay Talks

On the 26th of next month, President Yoon Seok-yeol will visit the United States in the form of a’state visit’ to mark the 70th anniversary of the ROK-US alliance, holding a summit meeting and a state dinner with US President Joe Biden. After the announcement of the compensation solution for victims of forced labor during the Japanese colonial era, he visited Japan in the middle of this month and met with President Biden in a month after normalizing relations between Korea and Japan with a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. Considering the Korea-US-Japan summit, which is expected to take place at the G7 summit in May, a series of Korea-US-Japan summits will be held in March, Korea-Japan, April and Korea-US-Japan. It is the first state visit by a South Korean leader in 12 years, following then-President Lee Myung-bak’s in October 2011.

We will have a discussion,” he said. The President’s Office said, “In particular, the two leaders will devise concrete and practical measures for cooperation in various fields, including the ROK-US combined defense posture and extended deterrence (nuclear umbrella), future advanced technology and economic security, cultural and people-to-people exchanges, and regional and international challenges.” said.
