In a post on his Twitter account Monday night, Osborn detailed that the night before he and three other “absolute heroes” freed a man from his car that caught fire after crashing into a bridge.
“Last night these 3 absolute heroes and I helped save a man’s life by rescuing him from a burning vehicle after a serious accident,” Osborn wrote. “A situation I would never have imagined being a part of in a million years.”
The 25-year-old was driving an Uber home when he saw the crashed vehicle in flames. His driver chose to stop and he, Osborn and two other passersby managed to save the man in the car.
Osborn recounted the situation on The Adam Schefter podcast. .“My Uber driver is starting to go crazy. It’s like, ‘Oh my God! My God!’ I look up and wonder what it is,” Osborn said.
“It’s like, ‘This guy crashed,’ and I look to my right and there’s a car, if you had to picture it, under the piers of a bridge. His car is in front. He hit the pillar and his car is on fire,” he replied. New York Post.
Osborn, along with his Uber driver and two other passersby, whom he called “heroes,” stopped to assess the situation and ask for help.
The Uber driver initially wanted to call 911, but the player noticed that he couldn’t waste a minute of time due to the seriousness of the situation and that they needed to act immediately.

Osborn is studying for a master’s degree in criminal justice, hoping to work for the FBI or US Secret Service after his playing career.
