Elephants attack humans
According to the World Wide Fund for Nature, elephants kill around 100 people in India each year, although the figure can be as high as 300.
That’s why the Indian government limits life-threatening encounters between humans and elephants by marking giants with radio collars and alerting locals via text messages when beasts roam human-populated areas.
However, in many cases, cases are often not preventable.
The video above, which went viral, shows an elephant attacking a vehicle in South Africa in 2015.
Another more recent case, recorded last year, was that of Nichanat Manucham, a 19-year-old Thai girl, who was taking a photo with the elephant without realizing the danger in her life.
At some point, the animal began to wrap its trunk around its leg.
In a moment of chaos, the elephant lifted her into the air and destroyed the food stalls as she tried to shake off the girl, who had clung to her tusk to survive.
Miraculously, Nichanat suffered only minor injuries to his arm, while the animal was hit with a metal object during the attack to free his victim.
