Netflix has included an “I love” button in its interface. This is next to the standard “like” and “dislike” buttons that appear on every series and movie hosted on the platform.
The function of the new button, that is is shown with two thumbs up, is to improve user recommendations. If one now instead of giving “I like” would give you “I love”, the suggestions that Netflix would make would be more accurate.
“For example, if you love The Bridgertons, we would suggest more titles produced by Shondaland or starring its cast members,” said the director of product innovation. Christine Doig Cardet by a statement.

The Netflix interface adapts to audience consumption. For example, if someone watches a lot of science fiction movies — and moreover they “like” some of them — the platform, through its algorithm, will show them titles related to the genre.
If someone gave “I don’t like” a production they saw on Netflix the interface will stop displaying content associated with iteither by cast, direction or genre.

Netflix also featured the “short film” category after the comedian Peter Davidson joked about the lack of feature films that last less than an hour and 40 minutes. It’s called “Short-Ass Movies.”
“These days when I sit down to watch a movie, I can find almost anything in the world,” Davidson said on a Saturday Night Live (SNL) set.

After the official Saturday Night Live account posted the musical parody on Twitter, the joking Netflix account, Netflix is A Joke, tweeted in response: “Good idea,” along with a link to a Netflix landing page for the same genre: “Short-Ass Movies”.
Among the films listed in the new category are Lady Bird comedy by Greta Gerwig Zoolander and Leighton Meester’s new thriller, The Weekend Away.
